There is no requirement by law for a Jet Ski rider to have insurance, and no one seems that bothered about enforcing the law....until someone gets killed and then its a case of "lessons have been learnt" again.....How very reassuring.

Jul 2, 2008 - The trouble is with highlighting dangers in this manner is that this shameful Councils definitive trait is that they wont be told that a problem exists, they instantly take the contrary position regardless of any logic, such is their arrogance, for example look at their denial of the danger at the Yaverland seawall even after someone was killed there they maintained there was no problem, even the police said otherwise, but look there now and they have rectified what was an obvious danger. DISGRACE

Jul 1, 2008 - Well highlighted danger here DOGS, I believe that you are required to have two people in the vessel when water skiing as one has to be observing the skier and one driving and looking for swimmers etc. This is plain ridiculous regardless of how close to the shore they are what with the spray and the wind in the eyes spotting swimmers would be very difficult, assuming they could care less that is.
